Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Cancelling your subscription

Cancel any time, self-service, from Settings → Billing — no need to contact support. Cancellation stops future renewals immediately; you keep full access to your plan's features until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. You will not be charged again after that.

2. Free trial cancellation

Bud Fox starts with a 21-day free trial, no card required. Cancel any time before day 21 and you are never charged. If you add a card during the trial, or the trial simply runs to its 21st day with a card on file, you are automatically converted to a paying subscriber at that point.

3. Switching tiers or billing interval

There is no in-place, prorated plan switch. To move between tiers (Bud Fox / Gordon Gekko / Lou Mannheim) or between monthly and annual billing, cancel your current plan from Settings → Billing, then subscribe to the new one from Pricing. If you cancel immediately (rather than letting the current period run out) to switch right away, you give up any remaining paid time on the old plan — no proration credit is issued — and the new subscription starts fresh at its full price.

4. Refunds

Outside of the statutory withdrawal right below, refunds for amounts already charged are handled case-by-case. Contact support@oernings.com with your account email and the reason for the request. Because Paddle is the merchant of record for your payment, approved refunds are issued by Paddle to your original payment method.

5. Your statutory right of withdrawal (EU/EEA consumers)

If you are a consumer resident in the EU/EEA, you have the right to withdraw from your subscription contract within 14 days of subscribing, without giving any reason, under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) as implemented in your country of residence (in Germany: §§ 312g, 355 BGB).

Early expiry for digital services. oernings is a digital service supplied immediately on subscribing. Under Art. 16(m) of the Directive (§ 356 (5) BGB in Germany), your right of withdrawal ends as soon as we begin performing the contract, provided you have given your express prior consent to immediate performance and acknowledged that you lose your withdrawal right once it begins. Paddle, as merchant of record, obtains this consent and acknowledgment as part of its checkout at the point of purchase — it is not something this page can grant or waive on its own.

If you have not given that consent, or want to withdraw before using any paid feature, contact support@oernings.com within 14 days of subscribing to exercise your withdrawal right; you may use the wording below or any other clear statement:

"I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the oernings subscription I entered into on [date], account email [your email]."

6. Failed or declined payments

If a renewal payment fails, your subscription enters a short grace period (status "past due") during which you keep your current plan's access while Paddle retries the charge and, where enabled, sends you reminders to update your payment method. If payment continues to fail, your account reverts to the free Cold Caller tier — you are not billed further, and your watchlist and saved data remain intact.
